Any speculation about how this happened? Maybe the ceramic got too hot, or was it coated in a some kind paint/varnish/finish that was not safe? What a relief it didn't get any more out of hand. Bad pumpkin, bad!
i burned a tea light in it last year, so i have no idea. i don't think it was the ceramic, as it wasn't really on fire... it was almost more like the candle was the problem, it was all bubbly and oozing out.
